The blue football half of Liverpool
On the other side of Stanley Park and the footballing divide in the city is the blue half of Liverpool – Everton Football Club. Evertonians are always at pains to tell you that they were founding members of the football league in 1888, the Premier League in 1992 and have competed in the top tier of English football for a record 108 seasons.
Their most recent trophy success came in 1995 as they won the FA Cup but have developed to be a regular finisher in the top ten of the Premier League and a regular competitor in European competitions. Goodison Park when rocking can create quite an atmosphere especially when Liverpool visit for the Merseyside Derby and with a good crop of youngsters coming through the club’s youth ranks the future for the so called “Toffees” looks bright.
With regular fixtures in the Premier League between August and May if you are in the city on the day of the game you may be able to get some tickets. Stag and Hen Liverpool offer normal tickets where possible and hospitality tickets to the games but can unfortunately not offer tours as they do not occur at the weekends.http://www.evertonfc.com/home/
