A round-up of the best places for your night in Liverpool

Scousers love eating out and with the huge variety and choice of restaurants and eateries available to them you start to see why. Below is a broad guide of where you need to start looking. For recommendations speak to us and we’ll let you know our favourites.

 1. Chinatown

Everyone loves a good Chinese and Chinatown, centred around the Imperial Arch over Nelson Street, can give you that as well as Cantonese and Peking and many more oriental styles of cooking besides.

2.Join the Scouse Curry Club

Liverpool City centre and outskirts are well covered by a large variety of good Indian restaurants.

3. Pub Food

Find real character and good honest pub grub in any of the many established traditional pubs in the city centre and wash it down with some of the finest real ale and other beers you can imagine for stag parties or the finest wine for the hen parties. Served alongside the friendly Liverpudlian hospitality you are guaranteed not to go wrong with pub grub.

4. Albert Docks

The Albert Dock boasts some of Liverpool’s most stylish restaurants, cafes and bars, in a unique waterfront setting. Perfect for a relaxing lunch by the water or a night on the tiles, you’ll find plenty of choice, and some of the tastiest restaurants in the city. You can head for Gusto, where you’ll find great fresh Italian food around its statement ‘Con Amici’ table -which seats up to 40 people at a time or the Pumphouse offers a traditional alternative -the classic British pub, with tasty grub and these two are Stag and Hen Liverpool’s favourites.

5. Liverpool One

Just because the shops at Liverpool One shut doesn’t mean that the 20+ restaurants and bars do. With a lot of large scale chains operating restaurants covering the whole range of global cuisines it is a good area to head to for a good solid meal at lunchtime or before you head out to investigate Liverpool’s fab nightlife. Examples of restaurants include Zizzi’s , Las Iguanas and Wagamama.

6. Take Aways

Want to spend your money later and not on your meal? – well there are hundreds of take aways available throughout the city from chains like KFC and Burger King to Pizza Hut and your independent kebab houses and fish and chip shops. Stag and Hen Liverpool can promise you won’t have to walk very far to find something to get the job done!

Remember there are plenty of restaurant review sites available so get searching and you will find the right place. Our only suggestion if you plan to go to a restaurant is always ring up to check if they accept large groups and, if they do, book in to guarantee yourselves no problems.
