Alma De Cuba Restaurant and Bar
A Latina fiesta in Liverpool
Situated just off Concert Square in the centre of Liverpool stands an award winning venue that takes the breath away from all who visit regardless of the time of day. Alma De Cuba Restaurant and Bar is at St Peter’s Church Hall, Paradise Lane, Liverpool, L1 4BH.
With arguably the most impressive interior to any venue in the country Alma De Cuba is set in the converted St Peter’s Catholic Church which is more than 300 years old. The stained glass window, original marble altar and hundreds of church candles making the gilt edged tiling shimmer make it a sight to behold. Add in the two huge chandeliers crafted from Antlers and a sequin encrusted dancer to warm the crowds up and you pretty much have the Alma De Cuba summed up.
Alma de Cuba is all about an eclectic mix of Cuban, Hispanic and Latin American influences that are enhanced with Liverpool’s great spirit. The large bar downstairs serves fab South American and Caribbean inspired cocktails amongst a wide variety of other drinks and the restaurant on the balcony floor although not the cheapest around is a brilliant place to get a stag or hen weekend meal.
Perhaps Stag and Hen Liverpool’s favourite moment though comes on a Friday and a Saturday night at 11pm when thousands of rose petals are dropped from the balcony onto the massive crowd below. It has to be experienced to be believed.
N.B Smart casual dress code so stay away from stag and hen accessories or themed outfits if you want entry.
