Forget celebrity fitness DVDs - these great freebie sites offer much more pound for your (zero) bucks

We all know that they did not achieve those sculpted physiques with just their 20 mins moderate workouts 5 times a week. If you’re serious about losing weight for your wedding then there are plenty of free fitness sites out there that offer more targeted workouts and accountability to keep you on track, as well as pushing you harder as you get fitter.

Here’s out run-down of five of the best fitness sites to help you get your dream bridal body.

Body Rock TV

Body Rock TV offers a range of free workouts and they have something to suit all levels of fitness. They have a Challenges section, designed to help you meet your fitness goals and keep you on track, with a Beginner Bootcamp for complete beginners included. There are weekly HiiT sessions (that’s High Intensity Interval Workouts, which fitness experts generally now agree is the best way to lose fat) and they also have an Elevate series, which are short sharp workouts that are designed to build lean muscle and burn fat fast.

If you want the ability to download the workouts to any device so you have them on-hand whenever you need them you can upgrade for just $4.99 a month. Much cheaper than a gym membership and a lot more variety than a celebrity fitness DVD!

You may need to purchase some basic home equipment to do some of the advanced workouts but the beginner workouts are all bodyweight exercises

Fitness Blender

Fitness Blender is a 100% free workout site. What is great about the site is you can search for different types of individual workouts, so if you fancy a quick Tabata workout or HiiT session, there’s plenty to choose from. Looking to create some hourglass curves? They’ve got a workout for that too.

If you are looking for Pilates and yoga workouts then this is the YouTube channel for you, instead of chucking money at a celebrity fitness DVD. However, they also offer total body workouts and high intensity short workouts for busy brides-to-be.

My Fitness Pal

Exercise is all well and good but you’ve probably heard that losing weight is 80% diet and 20% working out. You may also have heard the fact that those who track what they eat are a lot more likely to lose the weight and keep it off.

That’s where My Fitness Pal comes in. You can track what you have eaten that day from its large database of over 2,000,000 foods. You can even get the nutritional info from online recipes simply by copying and pasting the URL into its recipe importer tool. And if you prefer to do things on the go, then it’s also got a free mobile app. Perfect!
