I Hayley am actually fairly new to the Stag and Hen team and there are just a few of the party activities on offer that are quite hard to imagine or describe fittingly without having experienced them first hand… and Tuk Tuk Karaoke was definitely one of them.

I’ve seen Tuk Tuks and I’ve avoided plenty karaoke bars in my time, but the two combined is something else. Just minutes after arriving in Liverpool, me and MD Mike were picked up by the Tuk Tuk team in one of the karaoke tuk tuks.

Previously we’d both been in denial about any singing; something along the lines of:

“Yeah it’ll be great to see what its like, but I definitely won’t be singing” (famous last words).

But once we were in the Tuk Tuk and just hitting the road, the blaring music gave us no time to hesitate when Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now came on. Everyone in the tuk tuk was singing at full volume to the words on screen. It was a brilliant way to welcomed to Liverpool and get into the party mood.

Doesn’t this draw a lot of attention?

Passers-by were mesmerized and the odd pedestrian would throw us a cheer or take a quick picture. One older gentleman even tried to film us, he must have never seen anything like it... In fairness we were hard to miss with all the disco lights and music. It truly was a party on wheels – I’d love to see one all lit up at night!

Stag or Hen Party Material?

Absolutely! Although there’s usually one or two party-goers that aren’t into karaoke, the beaming atmosphere, shared singing and a bottle of bubbly will soon change their minds and weaken their inhibitions. If not the ride itself is a great way to tour the city and see the Albert Docks. I’d also say this is a great ice breaking activity for any friends and relatives that might not have met before.

…and the Songs?

The tuk tuks have over 1,000 songs on board so there’ll definitely be something you fancy. Mike and I sang our hearts out to: Queen, Take That, Frozen and Abba…
And here we are just warming up:
